Get set for Fun-Filled Play Scheme

Parents planning ways to keep their children occupied during the long summer holidays will have a helping hand during July and August - when Rhondda Cynon Taf’s fun-packed play schemes get underway.

The free play schemes offer opportunities for children aged between eight -14 and will run from Monday, July 28-Friday, August 22, 2008. Supervised activities include free play, arts and crafts, games and sports.

The following venues will be hosting play schemes:

Abercynon Sports Centre

Hawthorn Leisure and Recreation Centre

Llantrisant Leisure Centre

Michael Sobell Sports Centre, Aberdare

Tonyrefail Leisure Centre

Rhondda Sports Centre, Ystrad

Rhondda Fach Sports Centre, Tylorstown

Waun Wen Community Centre, Porth

Sessions are from 10am-12noon and 1pm-3pm. There is no childcare provision between noon and 1pm. There are maximum numbers and schemes are run on a first-come first-served basis. Parents can pre-register or register on the day, with registration forms available the week before the schemes are due to start.
