Local Support for Macmillan Walk for Charity

The Macmillan Walk takes place today … all ten miles from Hirwaun Rugby Club to Abercynon.
Hundreds of people met at the War Memorial in the centre of Hirwaun for the official start.
Walkers then embarked in stages.
The familiar tooting of horns and cheers of support can be heard as the walkers pass Penywaun hill.
This year, many walkers donned green wigs, as lively as the pink ones worn last year.
